Java Software Specialists - MSSB Development Environment
Position Description
This position is in the newly formed MSSB Development Environments team and is an important player in the construction of the MSSB Java development environment.
They will participate in the initial assesement and requirements of the new environment and execute the plan to move to the future development environment.
They will interact with Java developers from each application delivery organization in MSSB to understand new requirements, investigating solutions to the requirement and delivering the solution to augment the MSSB Java Development Environment.

Skills Required
- Deep understanding of Java and J2EE technologies
- Knowledge of open source environment and tools
- Ability to interact at the developer level
- Working knowledge of Continuous Integration environments
- Experience with source code control, release management and branching
- Understanding of object relational mapping technologies
- Sharing Java components between multiple applications and managing the versions.
- Experience with WebSphere Application Server environment
- Experience with Synergy Change, Eclipse, Rational Application Developer and the spring framework
- Knowledge of Python, Perl, ant, maven
- Agile methods
Skills Desired
Tools: DB2 connect, Apache CXF, Apache Camel
Deployment Automation and related tools: Bladelogic, Phurnace
Skill Proficiency Intermediate
