Heavy Equipment Tech (HET)
Nabors Production Services is the leading provider of technologically advanced service rigs and related equipment in the Canadian well servicing industry. We presently operate a fleet of 154 modernized service rigs that are capable of working on any oil or gas well at depths to 7,600 metres. Nabors is equipped and operates in all areas and conditions in Canada including the Canadian Arctic.
Position Responsibilities:
Responsible for a combination of shop and field based activities, including maintenance and repair activities on rigs and other heavy equipment.
• Learn and adhere to all company and Government safety regulations pertaining to the worksite
Participate in safety initiatives
• Repair equipment as required
• Ensure that preventative maintenance is performed on equipment as outlined in maintenance manual
• Assist with housekeeping responsibilities
Educational Requirements:
• Minimum of a 2nd year apprenticeship
• Valid Drivers License
• Certified Vehicle Inspection Certification would be a strong asset
• H2S Alive (preferred)
• Standard 1st Aid (preferred)
Experience Required:
• Safety conscious
• Prepared to work in the field
• Knowledge of service rigs or experiences in oil and gas industry an asset
• Good organizational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive Attitude
