Boiler Technician/Coordinator
Nabors Production Services is the leading provider of technologically advanced service rigs and related equipment in the Canadian well servicing industry. We presently operate a fleet of 154 modernized service rigs that are capable of working on any oil or gas well at depths to 7,600 metres. Nabors is equipped and operates in all areas and conditions in Canada including the Canadian Arctic.
Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor, the Boiler Technician works closely with operations and boiler field supervisor to coordinate yearly recertification/maintenance of boilers and upgrading to TC 44 tank requirements. This position is responsible to troubleshoot and repair boilers in the field as required and ensure all associated boiler equipment is maintained and ready for service. In addition this position will work closely with 3rd party contractors as needed with the recertification of our boilers.
• Coordinate boiler recertification and TC 44 fuel tank requirements.
• Troubleshoot and repair boilers in field as required.
• Organize and repair associated boiler equipment and maintain inventory
• Assist contractors during yearly recertification process
• Assist Mechanical Management in developing an internal boiler recertification process
• Communicate with boiler field supervisor
• Track boiler movement using myMaintenance
• Participate in safety initiatives
• Learn and adhere to all company and Government safety regulations
• Assist with housekeeping responsibilities as required
Educational Requirements:
• Special Oilfield Boiler or Power Engineering certificate would be an asset
• Valid Drivers License
• H2S Alive
Experience Required:
• 1-2 years experience coordinating equipment repairs/recertification
• Knowledge of oilfield boilers would be beneficial
