Responsibilities:
- Mechanical studies calculations for HVDC and FACTS stations
- Defining the scope of delivery and solutions for the task area within the project
- Checking of compliance with, and commenting on, customer specifications and standards contrasting with standard solutions and preferred variants for the components
- Drawing up technical documentation for the components of the turnkey project or project business assembly wiring documents and calculations
- Technical clarification with suppliers and partners
- Assuring quality e.g. by the way of tests acceptance procedures or document review
- Recognizing and assessing project-related risks working out suggestions for minimizing risks and for recognizing and exploiting opportunities
- Monitoring costs deadlines and technology
- Project reporting to the project engineer
- Co-ordination and clarification of internal and external interfaces
- Participation in meetings with external customers
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical engineering
- Minimum 5-8 years of successful experience in control, protection, auxiliary supply of high voltage sub-stations
- Preferred experience with HVDC stations or projects
- Demonstrated project management and customer service skills
- Strong ability to troubleshoot and offer solutions to technical issues
- Understanding of functions and how the functions align with and support the business and operational processes
- Successfully applies complex knowledge of fundamental concepts practices and procedures of particular area of specialization
- Provide general guidelines or train support and/or professional staff
