Job Description: |

Reporting to the Procurement Lead, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management and administration of all aspects of purchasing for Project Program. This position will participate in the development of the overall purchasing execution strategy and all processes, procedures, controls, monitoring and reporting structures required in all phases and aspects of the project. |

Responsibilities: |
|
- Supervises assigned personnel in the formation and award of project purchase commitments. Undertakes formation of commitments when required by workload, complexity or other factors.
- Prepares/reviews recommendation for award documentation. Ensures all commitments made by subordinate personnel are accurately presented and follow established approval and signing authorities contained in company policies and procedures.
- Prepares and organizes assigned Procurement sponsored meetings.
- Participation in the planning, work-hour calculations and budgeting as it relates to project purchasing activities and provide training, guidance and directs negotiations in the commitment of purchases, following review and approval of the proposed negotiating plan by the designated.

Qualifications: |
|
- Post Secondary Education, and ideally has completed their certificate in Purchasing - CPP or CPM designation would be preferable.
- Fifteen (15) years related experience within the oil and gas sector on major projects preferably with SAGD operations. Proficiency and experience in all phases of EPCM purchasing, including the formation and administration of purchase orders/contracts, construction contracts, or other forms of procurement agreements.
- Outstanding organizational and planning skills as well as a keen eye for detail and opportunity are a must. The successful candidate will possess sound, demonstrable operational, administrative and technical judgment. The ability to think strategically and to ensure order during difficult situations is essential.
- The incumbent will be a self-starter with a high energy level and team focus. A safety first attitude is essential as is a “can do” spirit. A demonstrable record of the highest standards of personal and business integrity is a must.
- Knowledge of Materials Management software, such as: SPM, SAP, Convero, BPS etc. will be an asset.
