Tax Specialist
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work on a variety of tax mandates, both in a Canadian and international context
- Research, compliance and planning functions
- Interpret and apply tax legislation
- Represent clients to the tax authorities for tax audits, appeals and other matters
- Build on technical competence by keeping up to date on tax developments and apply them in practical situations
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Accounting designation or Law degree
- Masters in Taxation or CICA In-depth Tax Course
- More than 2 years of experience specializing in income tax matters
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Strong commitment to professionalism and client service
- Details and thorough oriented
- Fluently bilingual
- Some US tax experience, but not essential
