We are currently hiring for an entry-level sales position in Halifax and surrounding areas to support and accelerate our client’s growth in region. The contract would begin July 18th 2011 and end on December 31st 2011.
Mission
· Responsibility of an assigned market unit and the achievement of clients objectives as it relates to sales objectives (KPI), compliance and account penetration.
· The primary challenge is to establish strong relations and healthy communication with key decision makers in their respective market unit in order to position the client as a reference as far as yogurt category management is concerned.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
· Ensure sales growth for client’s products on the assigned market unit according to the objectives determined by the company and the immediate superior.
· Increase account penetration within both regional and national accounts
· Analyze the needs of each customer to optimize their sales based on clearly defined objectives.
· Work in partnership with distributor sales teams in order to attain all assigned objectives.
· Identify sales opportunities on the assigned market unit and establish action plans to secure them.
· Offer recommendations to the immediate superior for possible opportunities on the assigned market unit.
· Review and compare prices, competitive actions and product offerings on a regular basis.
· Develop, plan and complete event/display plans as stated in the budget for the assigned market unit
· Develop, plan and assures execution of display/promo activities as stated in the budget for the assigned market unit.
· Ensure the proper placement and management of the refrigerated units in his assigned market unit.
· Follow the overall implementation plans developed by the Regional Sales Manager/National Account Manager.
· Respect the overall marketing plans throughout the year.
· Oversee the follow-up and proper operation of retail marketing activities (demonstration, special events, etc.).
· Make appropriate reporting to the Regional Sales Managers.
· Analyze data and propose initiatives and action plans to maximize the development of his market unit.
· Develop and plan category management plans for clients.

Qualifications
· Entry Level role
· Minimum Education: Bachelor degree
· Experience: 1 – 2 years of basic sales experience
· Unlimited access to a vehicle with a full Driver’s License
· Comfortable with MS Office, email, internet
· Language: Fluent in English
