In-Store Retail Demonstrators (Part-Time Contract)
Founded in 1985, EX-SELL Sales & Merchandising started in British Columbia as the only merchandising firm in the retail grocery market, and is now well on its way to becoming a “one-stop” sales support service provider for companies of all sizes across Canada.
Today, EX-SELL Sales & Merchandising teams can be found sharing their knowledge in all retail channels, including grocery, hardware, drug, mass merchandise, office supplies, computer specialty chains and convenience.
The company knows it is important to have local people working in the areas in which they live. This ensures that store level staff can rely on consistent visits from the same representative frequently, which helps maintain strong customer relationships, and keeps the EX-SELL competitive edge.
EX-SELL Sales & Merchandising is seeking 70 enthusiastic In-Store Retail Demonstrators to work part time in Quebec (Gatineau, Granby, Lachenaie, Mascouche, Sherbrooke), and several other Canadian provinces for an exciting new program aiming to educate consumers about their computer choices.
Specifically, you will work on weekends in your assigned well-recognized electronic retailer store, consulting and directing customers to the appropriate products to satisfy their needs.
Successful candidates will be able to confidently engage customers in conversation about their computer needs, and will also possess the following traits:
- Friendly, energetic, personable;
- Reliable and punctual;
- Strong communication and sales skills;
- Able to work on the floor for 6 hours;
- Confident working independently; and
- Professional appearance (business casual, no runners/jeans).
It is important that you are enthusiastic about what you’re selling and experienced and comfortable interacting with people. Preferably, you have a high school diploma, consumer electronics retail experience, and you are a superstar when it comes to knowing the ins and outs of computers! You will be assigned a store that is as close to your home as possible, and at the end of your shifts, you will be required to complete a short, online report.
*Please note that Quebec candidates must also speak French.
In-Store Retail Demonstrators who come on board will receive $14 per hour and will work 11am-5pm on Saturday and Sunday until the beginning of January. You will be provided with full training, both through conference calls, and independently via online learning. Better yet, no need to worry about what to wear - you will be provided with a shirt and name badge!
