POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for a senior product manager to define and drive a strategy to boost customer centric innovation. The Product Manager will be responsible for product planning throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering market inputs, defining and prioritizing market opportunities, refining the product vision working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and support to maximize return on product investments.

REQUIREMENTS: PRODUCT MANAGEMENT

Market and Opportunity Analysis

- Assess current market and develop competitive benchmark analysis

- Select key market inputs and define functional categories

- Define market opportunity

- Map customer problems and opportunities to compelling product strategies

- Ensure product strategies align to buyer values

- Establish business case and feasibility

Problem Definition

- Gather requirements from internal and external stakeholders, including current         unmet needs, existing problems and opportunities for process improvement

- Define problem statements

- Prioritize different and/or competing customer needs

Feature Definition

- Develop user profiles, user scenarios, organizational models and task models

- Define features by key user group

- Validate and prioritize features

Roadmap Definition

- Define the product strategy and roadmaps

- Measure against resource and asset availability

Requirement Definition

- Define market and acceptance requirements

- Define functionality, features, interface design and usability requirements

- Translate business objectives established by the CEO into engineering requirements that are fully aligned with business objectives

- Deliver MRDs and PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification

- Conduct requirement document reviews with all stakeholders

- Identify changes in scope or functionality as they arise.

Launch Definition

- Define and validate Launch Plan

- Engage with the engineering team to assess the best technical solutions, execution phases and timelines

- Review user experience design to ensure it complies with business needs

- Analyze, manage, iterate and track the implementation of business requirements in production

- Work with QA teams to ensure test plans cover all possible use cases

- Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples

- Monitor and report on customer usage behavior, from service take up through ongoing usage and churn drivers

- Set and continually review pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals

- Evangelize new products within the company and to designated user groups

REQUIREMENTS: PRODUCT MARKETING

- Create product differentiation, positioning and outbound messaging

- Perform product demos and training

- Promote the product externally with customers and partners

- Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities

- Manage the ecosystem and technology alliances necessary to execute the product strategy and roadmap

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

- Minimum 5 years of experience as a product manager in web-based software products, mobile and/or desktop applications

- BS in information systems or computer science (MBA preferred)

- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills

- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority

- Experience with product management practices, including competitive market research, customer needs analysis, business case definition, for emerging software products

- Ability to understand and synthesize customer problems and needs from market research, customer visits, analytics, competitive insights

- Experience writing requirement documents for software products, including product requirement documents, feature prioritization, business justification, use cases, work-flows and UI mock-ups

- Strong skills in rapid prototyping and iterative design process

- Experience with web usability best practices

- Deep understanding of the perspectives and needs of the customers for each supported project (e.g., business goals, pain points, frequency of feature use)

- Group facilitation and stakeholder interviewing

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence decision makers at all levels

- Experience in Social Media

- Must be available to travel

- Examples and at least one sample of an effective document delivered in the past
