Responsibilities:
- Siemens Canada requires an experienced Sales and Business Development Specialist to join our Drives Technology Division in Montreal
- This position will be responsible for the development of sales of mechancial drives in the power distribution marketpalce in Quebec and Atlantic Canada
- This position is responsible among others for developing mainly EPC, OEM and to a lesser extent End-User accounts in both Quebec and Atlantic Canada
- Typical duties include account strategy development establishment and maintenance of working relationships with customers through sales presentations, system demonstrations, proposal development and execution of marketing strategies
- This position requires close co-operation with the Siemens Sales force and will be an integral part of the local Industry Austomation and Drive technologies sales organization
Qualifications:
- The successful candidate will possess a post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology ideally with at least 3 years related experience and should be comfortable presenting to and discussing with seasoned engineers
- Candidate must possess strong knowledge of mechanical drives and/or power distribution technologies
- Knowledge of the mining applications in the Canadian and/or the International marketplace is an asset
- The ideal candidate must have the ability to assist with sales activities including market-focused planning strategy development conducting major sales presentations and successfully closing sales
- As well the candidate will possess strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills
- Furthermore the candidate must have a verifiable track record of working successfully in a team environment and be able to take initiative and operate productively with minimal supervision while still being able to take directives as required
- Candidate must be bilingual in French and English languages
