The ideal candidate must have:
·         Relevant post-secondary education with 5-10 years experience in a full range of project delivery methods including lump sum tender estimates and complete design build for large projects;

·         Determine scope of work from review of drawings and specifications required to prepare,  and provide a complete estimate;

·         Prepare documentation to support all departments required to for budget expectations including direct contact from suppliers to maintain information on prices;

·         Must be well organized and detail oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines;

·         Excellent decision making, leadership and planning skills;

·         Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written;

·         Knowledge of pre-engineered metal building systems an asset;

Responsible for:

·         Maintaining and securing relationships with outside trade and design professionals;

·         Interact with the business development department to ensure profitable business decisions are made;

·         Work with the management team to administer the goal of the company;

The duties for this position include but are not limited to:

·         Develop a successful project plan to include pre-construction activities, the selection of sub-trades and organization of team;

·         Occasionally assist the design build estimating team with cost estimates and management with negotiations and contract preparation;

·         Prepare and manage budgets and oversee tendering process;

·         Project administration from beginning to turnover, Job Costing, Issue Purchase Orders and Change Orders, Invoicing, Collections and manage inspections at end of job;

·         Maintain good working relationships with all levels of organization, (i.e. all trades, engineers, architects and co-workers);

·         Work directly with and take direction from Construction Manager, manage the construction process and Project Manage 2-3 projects at a time;

·         Develop and Maintain a one on one relationship with the customer;

The ideal candidate will:


  • An absolute minimum of 5-10 years hands-on experience in a construction environment;

  • Maintain and grow new relationships with subtrades;

  • Background in finding and recognizing engineering deficiencies and bring forward to the engineer without creating resentment or bad feelings;

  • Maintain the branding and customer loyalty of the company name while increasing the competence and capacity of the organization;

Essential skills to include:

Extensive knowledge of civil/structural design of new plant combine cycle construction

Extensive knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, and engineering principals

Knowledge of various construction methods, material and their characteristics, installation procedures and tolerances

Strong computer and communication skills

Working knowledge of engineering principles and practices relating to civil engineering including computer program applications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related engineering discipline

Extensive knowledge of safety policies and procedures

Working knowledge of government regulations and industry standards affecting electric utilities

Eight (8) years progressive experience in design and construction management of civil/structural and maintenance in electric utility related programs

Registration as a Professional Engineer is preferred or eligible by reciprocity

Ability to direct the work of others

Willingness to travel as required (possession of a valid driver’s license or ability to obtain)

Position Overview

This key position is responsible for the management, continued development of the Paladin Security Group scheduling program, and associated processes. • Monitor all incident reports and keep the database (ISE) updated with personnel information as required
• Liaise with Client Service Manager's (CSM) to ensure the Scheduling Department has the most recent information available to ensure efficient deployment of staff
• Track all vacation requests which have been granted by the responsible manager
• Maintaining accurate employee vacation, sick day and leave records
• Gather, correlate and oversee all aspects of payroll data and communicate the data with the payroll administrator at Corporate Head Office
• Investigate and resolve any payroll discrepancies
• Track overtime on a pay period basis and report the results to senior management
• Monitor overtime rates in all assigned branches and report results to Senior Management
• Oversee and direct the efforts of the scheduling department to ensure overtime is kept to a minimum in the assigned branches

Position Overview:


This position will be responsible for leading The Brick’s tier 1 Helpdesk which consists of approximately 11 analysts. The Brick’s User Support team is responsible for providing first level support to all Brick locations across Canada with all supported systems and IT needs (application, OS, computer, laptop, POS equipment, RF scanners, printers, etc.).

Responsibilities:


 

  • Coordinate and ensure day to day helpdesk functions and responsibilities are accomplished within established requirements

  • Ensure the helpdesk meets all defined business goals and target metrics and provide weekly reports and updates (Response times, customer expectations, etc.)

  • Manage Helpdesk administrative tasks (Scheduling, ordering, payroll, hiring, etc.)

  • Identify and implement process improvements as they relate to the front line support model

  • Responsible for coordinating training on supported systems and new processes for both new and existing staff

  • Handle all escalations as they relate to the Helpdesk

  • Coordinate with other IT and Business units as required on new processes and initiatives

  • Responsible for ensuring all training and documentation materials are up to date and accurate

  • Facilitate regular team meetings to provide business updates to direct reports

  • Provide performance management to the team as required

  • Provide regular 1x1 and performance reviews to all direct reports

  • Drive and support the IT vision and business goals as required

  • All other duties as assigned by senior IT Management


 

Requirements:



  • Technical Diploma or BS in Computer Science or Business Management

  • 4+ years of experience in contact center management/supervision, performance management around KPIs and people management

  • Strong knowledge of standard IT support processes and methodology

  • Knowledge and experience in process improvement (Six Sigma, BPI, ITIL, Etc.)

  • Experience providing user support in a Windows Domain environment

  • Experience with help desk software and reporting

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills

  • Customer service focused

  • Excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills
